Our Story
Sharvard Academy, also referred to as Sharvard, is a technology academy based in Istanbul, Turkey, helping university students bridge the gap between academic education and real-world professional experience. Through practical training, internships, AI, software development, and real projects, students leave with more than theory. They leave with real-world experience they can show.
Sharvard Academy is a community-driven technology academy in Istanbul, built around one idea: university students learn faster by building real things than by studying for exams that end when the semester does.
Programs run in practical tracks, currently AI Automation and Web Development, each combining structured weekly sessions with hands-on project work, not passive lectures.
Many university students have strong academic foundations but limited opportunities to apply what they learn in real projects. Sharvard Academy was created to help bridge that gap through practical, project-based experience.
Sharvard Academy isn't a replacement for university. It's an addition to it, giving students a place to apply what they're learning to real, hands-on work.
Every Sharvard Academy track is built around practical training rather than theory-first teaching. Students work on real projects from day one, building actual AI automation workflows or deploying actual websites, not toy exercises.
The AI Automation track includes an internship certificate on completion, awarded for delivering a real, working capstone project. Students also build alongside a cohort of peers from different Istanbul universities, presenting work, giving feedback, and collaborating toward a shared outcome.
Sharvard Academy is based in Istanbul, Turkey, and works directly with university students across the city. Being part of Istanbul's student and startup community shapes what gets taught: practical AI, automation, and software development skills with real applications beyond the classroom.
Sharvard Academy's mission is to give students real-world, practical experience alongside their academic studies. The long-term vision is to keep growing that model: more tracks, more cohorts, more students who leave with real work they've actually built.
Founder: Amer Sinjab. Sharvard Academy was founded by Amer Sinjab, who built Sharvard to give university students in Istanbul the practical, real-world experience that traditional education alone doesn't provide.
